Smoking near oxygen tank leads to fire, serious injuries in Haywood County - WBBJ TV

At approximately 12:11 PM, the Haywood County Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 3992 Tibbs Forked Deer Rd in Haywood County after the caller reported he was on fire.2 CommentsComment on Facebook
Some calls stay with you forever.
In early December 2025, the Jackson Fire Department responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving injuries—an incident that completely changed the lives of a family in our community. Engines 52 and 53 played a critical role on scene, working quickly to perform a complex extrication and ensure patients received the care they needed.
This past Sunday, one of our medics who treated a child involved in that crash received a very special visitor… that same child. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. ❤️
It’s also an important reminder for every parent and caregiver: properly installed and age-appropriate car seats can be the difference between life and death in a crash. Taking a few extra minutes to ensure your child is secured correctly matters more than you can imagine.
We’re always here to help. If you have questions about car seats or want to make sure yours is installed correctly, the Jackson Fire Department is happy to assist.
Serving you—on your worst days, and celebrating the good ones with you, too. ... See MoreSee Less
